Looking for the most exotic food that I can find within my reach, my feet took me to the beautiful province of Pampanga, the culinary capital of the Philippines. It's a 4 hour ride from Baguio City. Pampanga is known for their mouth-watering dishes and of course the "kamaru" or a cricket that they harvest on farms.

Together with a friend we went to Copung Copung Grill in the town of Balibago where we found the delicious KAMARU. An order of these crickets costs Php 200.00 (too expensive for a student like me) but for the sake of fulfilling my cravings, I did order one. I also added 2 cups of rice and fresh buko juice which is still in the coconut shell.

About the restaurant
Upon entering the restaurant, the cheerful crews will greet you in their Filipina costume. Outside is the grill and at night you can order alcoholic drinks. Their wifi is pretty fast too!
The Verdict!!!
Overall, I liked it. the head part was crispy, the body was soft and it doesn't taste like rotten wood nor like something that is nasty. The way it was prepared was great and the vinegar compliments well with the dish.
Will I recommend it?
Definitely Yes! For the people who are adventurous with food, you must try this. Aside from it's delicious, it's also a great experience.
