Yes! you got it right. There are actually ways or secrets to help you avail of the cheapest plane ticket for your dream trip. I am a student and I don't have a stable source of income yet, but I have already travelled to some domestic and international places just by following these steps that I'm going to share with you.

Tip 1: Be patient
- Ticket prices on normal days are extremely expensive. In fact, the price changes everyday depending on the demand, how soon the flight will be or if there's a holiday on the said destination. The best thing that you can do be patient and wait for a promotion.
Tip 2: Be updated
- Sign up for a monthly newsletter from different airlines. This will surely flood your email with tons of advertisements but who cares right? As long as you'll get updated of the upcoming promotions or sales from your favorite airline.
Tip 3: Be on a budget
- If you are s student like me, or a budget traveller, the best option that you have is to take budget airlines. You can get the cheapest plane ticket possible but the downside is that you have no food (but you can purchase online or onboard) and it's not that comfortable compared to regular airlines. Budget airlines are designed to have an all economy class layout (there are no business nor first class seats).
Tip 4: The SALE!
- Philippine budget airlines like Cebu Pacific Air and Airasia periodically offers a seat sale. You can purchase your ticket for as low as P201+ (USD 4) per way. That's a great deal right? But here's the catch. For these kind of sale, the travel period usually starts 6 months after you booked your ticket. So you really need to be patient.
Tip 5: Be alert!
- When a seat sale is about to begin, you should be ready to access the airline's website the very first second after midnight. It's like a black friday sale. Thousands of people will surely be scouting for the cheapest price possible and booking a ticket will be very hard. Sometimes the page will crash, you'll be on a queue or the page will slow down but never give up. Just keep on trying.
Based on my experience, I started accessing the airline's website at midnight, I was put on queue, then the website crashed so I have to wait. I was able to book my ticket after 2 hours and guess how much is it? It's P1600+ (USD 32+) baby for a roundtrip ticket from Manila to Jakarta ( regular fares are usually P9000+ or USD 180+).
Tip 6: Be prepared
- Once you have your ticket you should prepare for your trip. It will still be probably 6 months from now but it pays to be prepared ahead of time. You can check promotions from travel websites like Klook which gives you a big discount when you book your activities using their app. You can avail of airport transfer services, leisure activities (disneyland etc), dinner buffets pass, city tour, para-sailing etc. Just click HERE or click the picture on the upper right side of this page.
Remember, you don't need to be rich to travel and explore the world.
